Join our dynamic team as a Cabinet Designer and bring innovative, stylish, and functional cabinet solutions to life. In this role you will combine your passion for interior design with technical expertise to craft custom cabinet layouts that meet clients’ needs and elevate their living spaces.

Position Overview

We are seeking a talented and self-motivated Cabinet Designer to join our team. The role involves designing custom cabinetry for residential and commercial projects including kitchens, bathrooms, offices, and built-in storage. You will collaborate with clients, contractors, and production teams to bring projects from concept to completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Meet with clients to discuss design needs, project scope, and budgets
  • Design cabinetry layouts for kitchens, bathrooms, closets, and built-ins
  • Create detailed drawings and 3D renderings using design software
  • Take or verify site measurements
  • Recommend materials, finishes, and hardware
  • Collaborate with project managers, installers, and contractors
  • Revise designs based on client feedback and field conditions
  • Prepare material lists, cost estimates, and design documentation
  • Ensure compliance with building codes and industry standards

Required Qualifications

  • Experience in cabinet, kitchen, or interior design
  • Proficiency with 2020 Design or Pro Kitchen
  • Ability to create renderings and cabinet pricing
  • Strong understanding of cabinetry construction
  • Excellent layout and space planning skills
  • Strong communication and client service skills
  • Organized and detail oriented

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with custom cabinetry manufacturers
  • Knowledge of manufacturing and installation processes
  • Experience preparing quotes and estimates
  • Portfolio of completed cabinetry projects

Work Environment

  • Combination of office/design work and job-site visits

Flooring Sales and Design Manager

This is an inside sales position selling flooring to retail and trade customers with terrific growth potential. The position requires interacting with customers and assisting them with product choices according to their individual needs. Whether that interaction occurs in our showroom or in the community, the objective is always to provide flooring advice that will make the customers’ buying decision easier.

Duties

Although not an all-inclusive list, the following are some of the duties and expectations that we have for this position:

  • Sell flooring and floor care products
  • Greet customers on the sales floor, and determine their wants and needs
  • Keep up to date on the wide select of floors we have to offer along with the benefits and warranties provided by each
  • Provide outstanding customer service
  • Write sales orders
  • Help work through, and follow-up after, the completion of each job
  • Build client relationships
  • Network regularly, and work effectively, with other store employees
  • Execute targeted sales strategies
  • Receive payment, or obtain credit authorization
  • Use computer database to research the availability of merchandise and to process orders
  • Follow up in a timely and professional manner with all customers on requests and/or concerns
  • Answer questions from customers about flooring
  • Assist customers with flooring choices (explain features/benefits, etc.)
  • Help customers with their choice through decorating and/or design advice
  • Maintain showroom by keeping samples and displays neat, current, and clean
  • Prospect for new business

  • Willing to undergo our extensive product and sales training to become certified flooring and design expert

  • Able to provide exceptional follow-up

Some additional qualifications include:

  • A passion for, or experience with, decorating or design (1 to 2 year minimum)
  • Some college is preferred, but not necessary
  • Must have access to reliable transportation in order to get to work
  • Open and flexible work availability, including weekends
  • Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office programs and a willingness to learn our operating systems
  • Retail sales experience strong preferred (3 years minimum)
